Alliance for the Development of Additive Processing Technologies (ADAPT) was established in December of 2015. They are a research & development organization dedicated to the development of next-generation data informatics and advanced characterization technologies for additive manufacturing technologies. They use these tools to help industry and government qualify, standardize, assess, and optimize advanced manufacturing processes and parts.
The National Science Foundation funds research and education in most fields of science and engineering.
